The Linden Method – A Review

During my initial DP/DR reaction (the worst part), I stumbled upon “The Linden Method”. I was highly skeptical (but desperate). Since I knew I was feeling high amounts of anxiety (but not why I was feeling this way), I purchased the downloadable version of the Linden Method. During the first weeks I totally ignored the “anxiety disorder” part because I honestly didn’t believe for a second that I had that condition. Instead I listened to the relaxation soundtracks, which actually helped me relax to some degree.

The realization that I was actually suffering from an anxiety condition started to sink slowly in, and The Linden Method quickly became a Godsend to me. Realizing that I only had an anxiety disorder was the biggest “aha” moment of my life (yet). I started to read and look at everything that Charles had to say, and consequently I stumbled upon the video below:

Discovering this video was a moment of great relief for me. Someone could actually explain some of the symptoms I had feared for what seemed like ages!. Not all symptoms were explained though, and even if I realized what was going on with me, nothing really changed in terms of my DP/DR symptoms.

It was at this point I read through the entire Linden Method manual and started implementing some of it’s principles. Probably one of the biggest lessons I learned from the Linden Method was: “Focus on something else!”. Forcing myself to focus on something else actually worked! Logic tells us that we can’t think two different thoughts at the same time. Also, we can’t be in two different states at the same time (fear, love, anger, curiosity, etc.). The DP/DR thoughts quickly came back once I stopped diverting my mind though. I noticed however, that the physical symptoms (the aches, pressures, malaise, lump in throat, etc.) really started to get much better when I made it a habit to divert my mind often.

I doubt The Linden Method alone cured me, but it provided some really great tools and principles to recover as fast as possible. It also brings alot of reassurence in times of need.

Charles Linden himself was a sufferer for seven years. I recommend reading his story and comparing it to your own situation. He went through alot of pain, and experienced both depersonalization and derealization during his condition. The Linden Method consists of one large e-book and several audio tracks and instructional videos. In the E-book, Charles talks about the science of anxiety, his own story, symptoms, medication, eating habits, withdrawal, doctors and of course the one method you need to implement in your life to get rid of your anxiety (and DP/DR), for good..
.
What you get from the Linden Method package:

  • Informational Audio Tracks with a combined length of over 2 hours
  • Over 4 hours worth of Video Material
  • Free Online Psychologist Consulting for 1 year
  • 226 Page E-Book
  • 360 Day money back guarantee
  • Your Life Back :)

All in all, this e-course is very down to earth. When I look back over a year from now, I have no doubt that the Linden Method was a great contributor to my recovery and return to “real life”. It certainly got me in the right mind-set and provided much needed hope in a time of darkness. The course is a little pricey at 99$, but money was the least of my worries when I was at my worst.

The Linden method has definitely saved me from what could have been some very bad and dark days. I am nineteen years old and realized I have derealization about two months ago. I had felt something was not quite right for some time ( I think it might have started from a bad weed trip a little more than a year ago). Coupled with being the kind of person who deals with stress by not dealing with it and moving forward by ignoring it, I think my default anxiety levels went up. I tried to pretend as though there was nothing wrong for a while but inevitably it came through.
After doing some research online, I came across TLM and read it’s positive reviews. I decided that $89 for the online version was a bit steep but it is more than worth the price. His resources are great and really help you through the darkest times.
It was only about three weeks ago that I really started doing what TLM instructs and it has had a profound impact on me. There will be times when things are great and others when all seems lost but that’s okay. You have to trust in what he and his support staff tell you. It really is nothing but anxiety. It can trick you into thinking many things that are not true (One morning I almost convinced myself that I was schizophrenic) and it can be frightening. All you have to do is engage yourself in tasks that keep your mind busy and away from the misleading brain signals. Keep relaxed (his deep relaxation meditation is fantastic especially when things get a bit hard) and live your life like you always would.
I had a GPA of 3.9 this semester (my highest so far) so don’t think it will stop you from doing anything. I’m not completely out yet but boy, can I feel the difference. Yesterday, I finally felt my default levels of anxiety drop lower and lower. My body felt far more relaxed. i had a bit of a bad morning in terms of some loose thoughts on my part that built up my anxiety, but it was nothing I couldn’t handle now.
The derealization will get worse the more you worry about it. The anxiety you create from worrying enhances it. Anxiety can NOT hurt you. Panic attacks are a joke once you realize this. TLM will explain all to you.
The times of feeling lost and hopeless are over. Derealization is now a secondary issue that I can finally get rid off. It does not rule my life and I often forget that I have it. I hope to shed it fully within the next two weeks. Your subconscious mind will fight you and make things hard by creating random anxious thoughts for a few weeks but stick through it. Trust in what you know. You will get better. And fast.
DO NOT go on forums. DO NOT give your symptoms undue attention. STOP checking if things are real or not. The world is real as are you. One day when my symptoms were strong, I walked up to a car and touched it to prove to myself that it existed. I think that actually helped a lot in showing myself that what I was experiencing was misleading.
Good luck and please believe in yourself, what I am saying and what you know.
